Hey everyone,

I don't know if anyone is still checking this page, I have been pretty slack about updating it.

If you are reading this then you definitely have to check out this youtube page:

Click Here for Dharmikam's YouTube page!

Here you can see some cool footage of the Martial Art I am practicing, and the Master himself in action. Most of it was shot in the 90s so the video quality is a little poor, but the content is awesome. Please check it out and give it a good rating (if you like it).

Things are going really well here. I hope things are good with you. Feel free to send me an email some time.

Kahlil

Home Again

Hey all,

just a quick entry to let you know that I'll be back home in Epsom from the 7th November until the 26th. I know February is a rubbish time of year but I need to get a new visa. I probably won't be back home again until Christmas so if people want to catch up then we need to make plans.
One place I'm definitely going to be on Saturday 10th is at
GUERRILLA ZOO (click here for details)
This is a seriosly awesome event that my friend James organises. Its only 6 quid so get off your arses and get a ticket. I guarantee it will be much better then whatever you normally do on a saturday night, and as an added bonus I'll be there.
When I get back I'll be doing a bigger update and putting up a big pile of photos from my time in the Ashram, and my parents vist to India. Expect some impressive but cliched pictures of the Taj, and many other exciting things.
Right now I'm in Fort Cochin, and old colonial enclave in Kerala, Its nice and chilled out. Tomorrow we head to the Ashram where my folks will be able to have some treatments and get a feel for the place.
Hope everyone is well (and that someone is still checking this page),

Kahlil

The Wedding and my return to India

Hey everyone,

first things first, I've got some new photos!

Click here to see some photos from Kerala

Click here to see photos of Rob and Helen's Wedding

I've been home now for just over two weeks and tomorrow I fly back to India. For those who don't know my plans, here is the short version.
I'm planning to go back to the Ashram in Kerala and spend the next year studying Martial Arts and Massage. Check out the Website:

Dharmikam Ashram

In many ways it is the end of my travelling for a while. I'm really looking forward to being in one place after moving around for so long. I also feel the need to throw myself into a real challenge. I will have to leave India every six months to get a new visa, so I will not be gone for such a long stretch again. Travelling for a year was a great experiance but it is a long time to go without seeing family and friends. My current visa runs until February so I will hopefully be back then.

The last couple of weeks have been really good. One of the biggest culture shocks was the price of things. I was really blown away when I went for a curry on my second night back, and we ended up spending more then the average monthly wage of an Indian worker. I've kind of got more used to it, but I still have to be careful not to spend too much.

Before I came back I thought I would have all the time in the world to catch up with people, but it has flown by so quickly. I would like to have spent more time with people. There are some people I really wanted to see but time has run out. If this applies to you then I apologise. I will make sure we meet up in February.

The wedding of my friends Rob and Helen was the highlight of the trip. It was a really special and fun was had by all. I wish them all the happiness they deserve.

So, I hope that everyone is doing well. I'll still be updating this page from time to time, and I'll be checking my email, so keep in touch!

Kahlil

I'm coming home!

Hey everyone,

as you should be able to guess from the title, I'm coming home. My trip is not over but due to the wedding of my friends Robbie and Helen I will be flying home for a couple of weeks.
I will be back from thursday the 19th of October until monday the 6th of November. I am looking forward to seeing my family and catching up with everyone.
Now I am in Kerala in the extreme south of India. The train ride from Kolkatta went a bit pear shaped on the last day as I got a nasty case of flu. It took me a few days to recover, but I'm all better now.
I have moved into an Ashram to have a traditional treatment and to learn Kalari, an Indian Martial Art. I started the Kalari yeaterday. It is quite different to the stuff I have done before but I am looking forward to practising. The treatment involves massage with medicinal oils. It has been going on for a few dyas and I'm starting to feel the benefit.
The Ashram itself is really nice. Its outside of the city and is very quiet. All the vegetarian food is grown organically on the site.
Not much else to report, hope everyone is doing good,

Kahlil
